The Los Angeles Lakers got back to .500 this year, but at a cost.Mike Trudell of Spectrum SportsNet reported Friday that the Lakers will be without veteran Cam Reddish with a sprained right ankle.
Reddish is scheduled to be reevaluated in two weeks due to the injury.Reddish, a former top-10 pick, was injured Tuesday after landing on James Harden’s leg during a 3-point attempt during the Lakers’ loss to the rival Los Angeles Clippers.
As a result, Reddish earned a win against the Chicago Bulls on Thursday. Reddish, 24, found himself in a good spot in his first season with the Lakers. He earned a spot in the starting lineup thanks to his length and defense, and his 3-point shooting percentage this season has reached 33.7 percent.
Perhaps Reddish’s absence during the All-Star break could allow the Lakers to add LeBron James and Anthony Davis to the starting lineup, along with D’Angelo Russell, Austin Reaves and Taurean Prince. Either way, this is another injury to a key player for the Lakers to overcome.
