Before Wimbledon, Alexander Zverev and his fiancée assert that they do not give a damn about people making fun of their eight-year age difference.
After losing to Carlos Alcaraz in the second Grand Slam final of his career at the French Open, German tennis star Alexander Zverev, 27, is set to compete in SW19 soon. Though he has never advanced past the fourth round at Wimbledon, 27-year-old Zverev will be hoping to do so with his 34-year-old girlfriend Sophia Thomalla in attendance.
After initially connecting through a mutual acquaintance, the World No. 4 and the former Playboy model have been in a public relationship since 2020. Their seven and a half-year age gap caused their romance to be closely examined when they decided to go public in 2021.
Thomalla, who is also an actress, gained notoriety in 2016 when she wed Norwegian singer Andy LaPlegua. She continued dating British singer Gavin McGregor until 2018, and in 2019 she even dated Loris Karius, a former goalie for Liverpool.
