Liverpool extended their lead at the top of the Premier League with a win over Bournemouth on Sunday afternoon.
Darvin Nunes and Diogo Jota scored twice as United ran out 4-0 winners, taking them to five points and an unbeaten run from 32 Premier League games. Liverpool will focus on advancing to the League Cup final when they face Fulham in the semi-finals on Wednesday.
Here’s a look at the changes Jurgen Klopp’s side could make as they take the next step. Again, a lack of numbers means rotations will be limited as Liverpool target Wembley. But Klopp is not completely out of options.
There will be a change between the sticks with League Cup goalkeeper Caoimhin Kelleher ahead of Alisson Becker and Adrian. Otherwise, if Trent Alexander-Arnold is sidelined as expected, there will be little room for maneuver in defence. Conor Bradley is preferred to continue playing at right-back, while another option in Joe Gomez could play on the other flank alongside Andy Robertson and Kostas Tsimikas.
Owen Beck could start at left-back in next weekend’s FA Cup tie against Norwich City. Virgil van Dijk and Ibrahima Konate are likely to remain at centre-back, with Jarel Kwanza their main challenger. Nat Phillips is also training with the first team and Joel Matip is ruled out for the season.
