Fabrizio Romano provides injury update on Luke Shaw after Luton Town win

Luke Shaw succumbed to any other damage at some stage in the 2-1 win vs Luton Town this afternoon, with Fabrizio Romano now offering an update.

Just when it felt like Manchester United had been getting over their injury issues, it looks as though Erik ten Hag is hit with any other blow.

This has undoubtedly confirmed to be a hard week for Luke Shaw. The Englishman came off at half-time final week against Aston Villa, then being a primary doubt for the Luton Town game.

It felt like the ex-Southampton man used to be usually trending in the route of playing, with very little threat concerned after the early indication suggested it used to be just a precautionary measure. However, lightning did certainly strike twice with Shaw coming off again.

As per usual, Fabrizio Romano has his finger on the pulse. He took to X to share the brand new information, claiming that exams will follow for the English left-back, who has now gone off around the half-time mark in every of his ultimate two games.

At this early stage, it’s doubtful whether or not it’s the identical place that’s affected for Shaw, or a new harm completely. You’d suspect the former, although at this time, it’s fantastic to wait and see what these tests say.

The hassle for United used to be that their hand was somewhat forced. Under normal circumstances, Shaw would probably sit out for a week anyway. However, he was once the only in shape left-back handy to Ten Hag so the gaffer had no real choice.

Alvaro Fernandez is out on loan. Sergio Reguilon used to be despatched returned from his loan. Tyrell Malacia stays injured. Diogo Dalot can play there, even though he’s the only match right-back on hand to United at this point in time. It truly is a mess in those huge shielding positions proper now…

Let’s hope that the Shaw harm is nothing too serious and he’s right to go subsequent week, even though I suspect he can also be compelled to take a seat out for a game or two, in basic terms for his own good.
