Every year at NBA All-Star Weekend, we take 90 minutes to join in the festivities and have some fun. An All-Star football game can be a logistical nightmare, but it’s still exciting to show what the game will be like. Last year Sean Walsh and Jack Gallagher drafted their teams in the NBA’s playground-style draft.
Fortunately, the NBA has returned to its traditional East-West rivalry, this time ensuring that those elaborate plans are no longer necessary. East doesn’t mean much West in the Premier League, so we opted for North, managed by Jack in Derry, and South, chosen by Sean in London. Rules Before we get started and share our options, there are some agreed upon rules. The northern corner is Aston Villa, Burnley, Everton, Liverpool, Manchester City, Manchester United, Newcastle United, Nottingham Forest, Sheffield United and Wolves. The other ten southern teams are Arsenal, Bournemouth, Brentford, Brighton, Chelsea, Crystal Palace, Fulham, Luton Town, Tottenham Hotspur and West Ham Union.
4,444 players were selected mostly based on their performance this season, with some special exceptions as stars who missed significant time due to injury or suspension could only be selected in isolation. This idea would be boring if the game did not have a limit on the number of players on the team, so we set ourselves a limit of three players per team (this is not a code number according to FPL rules). With this in mind there will be some important but explainable choices. Emphasis will also be placed on players who can be more fun and successful in the workplace.
