Cam Ward, a transfer quarterback, is deciding between Miami and the NFL
As the college football season winds down and transfer portal activity heats up, we appear to be getting closer to learning the fate of former Washington State Cougars quarterback Cam Ward.
Ward will either join the Miami Hurricanes or declare for the NFL Draft, according to On3′s Pete Nakos.
Ward is the most recent success story in college football.
The Columbia, Texas native was barely recruited out of high school, with The University of the Incarnate Word being his only offer.
Ward thrived for the Cardinals in six games during the 2020 COVID-shortened season, throwing for 24 touchdown passes and winning the Jerry Rice Award, which is given yearly to the top freshman in the FCS. Ward then went on to throw for 4,648 yards and 47 touchdown passes en way to Incarnate Word’s first 10-win season in school history, as the Cardinals went 10-1.
