Bo Nix displays John Elway reached out to him after being drafted by using Broncos
Denver Broncos rookie quarterback Bo Nix loved being contacted with the aid of NFL legend John Elway after being drafted with the aid of the team. While talking to reporters at some point of Broncos’ rookie minicamp this previous weekend, Nix talked about Elway attaining out to him.
“That used to be a cool text for sure,” Nix said. “Made my dad a little mad I suppose due to the fact that was once his favorite growing up, so he was once a little jealous. But it was awesome and it used to be variety of like ‘Wow is this surely happening?’ When you’re in a special metropolis like that, everyone supports the subsequent generation, so that’s one factor I took from that.
Nix is hoping to have the same success as Elway who was the Broncos quarterback from 1983 to 1998. During his time in Denver, Elway led the Broncos to five Super Bowl appearances and received two of them. He used to be named MVP of Super Bowl XXXIII, won the NFL MVP award in 1987 and used to be chosen to the Pro Bowl nine times.
Elway also had success as a front-office executive for the Broncos. Elway and former Broncos head teach Gary Kubiak are the only persons to be associated with three of the Broncos’ Super Bowl wins.
Nix is expected to be the Broncos’ next franchise quarterback as he was once chosen No. 12 average closing month. During his press conference, Nix, who performed college football at Auburn and Oregon, shared his goals in the course of his time in Denver.
“I don’t favor to just be a draft pick,” Nix said, per the team’s reputable website. “I prefer to be in a position to exhibit my upgrades and show that I can do what [they] picked me to do, and that’s to go out there and help win video games [and] do some thing I can to put his team in a higher situation.”
