The Los Angeles Lakers defeated the Denver Nuggets 119-108 in Game 4 to halt their 11-game losing skid and avoid elimination. LeBron James scored 30 points, while Anthony Davis added 25 points and 23 rebounds.
It was evidently a major victory for the Lakers, who sent the series back to Denver and prevented the Nuggets from sweeping them for a second straight season. Naturally, the pressure hasn’t decreased because James is aware that the Lakers are still in a win-or-go home scenario.

The Lakers’ decision to send the series back to Denver and stop the Nuggets from sweeping them for a second straight season was obviously a big win. Naturally, James is aware that the Lakers are still in a win-or-go home situation, so the pressure hasn’t lessened.
The Lakers want to go down in NBA history as the first club to ever win a series after falling behind 3-0. LeBron, though, is aware that they have to treat every game as a unique competition and that they cannot view it that way.
After finally overcoming the Nuggets, who had dominated them for the previous two seasons, the Lakers would also seem to have overcome a mental obstacle, but James isn’t concerned about that.
“I’m not sure. The most crucial thing was that we prevailed in this game, LeBron said. We must now turn our attention to the following one. We want to attempt to avoid making it 12-1 in the previous 13 games if we lose the next one. We want to keep trying to play well while concentrating on our next assignment, which is, as I mentioned, Monday’s game and seeing what transpires.
Now, all the Lakers can do is prepare for Game 5, when they will have to deal with the same pressure of knowing that, should they lose, their season will come to an end. But the Lakers can still beat anybody as long as LeBron and Davis continue to play at their current level.
