One Las Vegas Raider deserves to be discussed in the NFL Pro Football Hall of Fame. This is the end of former Raider Todd Christensen. Christensen spent 10 seasons with the Raiders from 1979 to 1988. He was a tight end for the Silver and Black with 461 catches for 5,872 yards and 42 touchdowns in 136 games. On a recent Las Vegas Raiders Insider podcast, Hondo Carpenter Sr. Special guest was Rick Gosselin.
This episode covers the Christensen Hall of Fame case, official NFL corrections and more. Gosslien took the opportunity to share his thoughts on Christensen and why he deserves to be considered a player in the NFL Pro Football Hall of Fame.“Todd Christensen is a player who deserves attention and discussion in the Hall of Fame. This is the problem that arises during the selection process. “For whatever reason, we don’t have enough cyclists in our room.”
“I know two factors. 75% of Hall of Fame players are successful over a 10-year period, but Todd is not. 64% won. Todd won.””This guy is a two-time NBA champion. He was in the bridge era when he went from blocker to pass catcher: Charlie Sanders, Ozzie Newsome, Kellen Winslow, Todd Christensen.
He’s the only one who fell through the cracks.”There are a lot of tough issues that need to be discussed right now and there are players who deserve to be in the Hall of Fame and I think Todd Christensen is one of them.”You can watch the full episode of the Las Vegas Raiders Insider podcast by clicking here. The NFL Scouting Combine will be held from February 27 to March 4, 2024 at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis.
