Liverpool have officially announced that Fabio Carvalho has returned to the club after completing his loan spell at RB Leipzig.
The Portuguese youngster has spent the first half of this season on loan in the Bundesliga but hasn’t had much game time, leading recent reports on Fabrizio Romano’s condition to call for an early call-up. As confirmed on the official website this afternoon, Carvalho is now returning to Liverpool and it will be interesting to see what happens with him.
LFC writer Neil Jones recently told us he expects the 21-year-old to return. Jurgen Klopp should have gone on loan rather than join the team. Carvalho has emerged as an exciting talent at his former club Fulham and it will be interesting to see if he can get his career back on track after a difficult year.
Liverpool fans will be hoping that Carvalho can return and live up to the potential he showed earlier in the season. But he might not have enough time to really prove himself.Leipzig looked like a good loan move for the young attacking midfielder but it didn’t work out for him and it remains to be seen if it was the fault of the player or the club.
