Kimi Räikkönen, affectionately known to fans worldwide as “The Iceman,” has found his name dragged into a growing cryptocurrency scam. Fraudulent adverts and online articles have been circulating on social media, falsely claiming that the former Formula 1 world champion is endorsing various investment platforms promising high returns.
The schemes, often disguised as genuine news pieces or interviews, use Räikkönen’s image and fabricated quotes to trick unsuspecting people into depositing money or cryptocurrency. In some cases, the scams have even employed AI-manipulated images to make the claims appear more believable.
Räikkönen’s agent, Sami Visa, has publicly dismissed these claims, making it clear that the Finnish racing legend has never endorsed any cryptocurrency investment schemes. Visa also issued a stark warning to fans and the wider public, urging them to be vigilant and not to fall victim to such fraudulent promotions.
“This is a complete fabrication. Kimi has no involvement with these platforms, and we strongly advise people to ignore such ads and report them when possible,” Visa emphasized.
The rise in online scams misusing celebrity names highlights a troubling trend, where trusted public figures are exploited to lure victims. While Räikkönen himself remains focused on life away from the racing spotlight, his management team continues to push back against these damaging and deceptive campaigns.
