In a stunning development that has sent shockwaves through the NRL, star winger Brian To’o has officially signed with the Brisbane Broncos on a three-year deal worth $2.1 million.
The move comes after weeks of speculation surrounding To’o’s future at the Penrith Panthers, where he played a key role in their recent premiership dynasty. The 26-year-old winger will earn approximately $700,000 per season, making him one of the highest-paid outside backs in the competition.
“To’o’s signing is a massive coup for the Broncos,” said a club spokesperson. “He brings experience, energy, and a winning mentality—exactly what we need to push for a title.”
The deal was reportedly accelerated following Penrith’s salary cap squeeze and their recent roster changes, including the departure of James Fisher-Harris and the incoming signing of Isaiah Papali’i.
For To’o, the move represents both a fresh start and a new challenge.
> “I’ve loved every minute at Penrith—they’ve been like family to me,” To’o said in a brief statement. “But I’m excited for the future with Brisbane and can’t wait to get started.”
To’o’s signing further boosts a Broncos squad already stacked with talent, including Reece Walsh and the recently returned Ben Hunt. With his hard-running style and finishing ability, To’o is expected to form a lethal combination with Walsh and Tedesco in the Broncos’ backline.
